I am a freelance writer and editor based in New York's Adirondack Mountains. I focus on outdoor recreation, mountain life, adventure travel, and related economic, social, and environmental issues.

I was previously an editor at Mountain magazine, which covers North America's mountain communities. There, I was a gear test director, copy editor, fact checker, and editor for print, digital, and social media. I am also a former correspondent for ESPN Action Sports, where I delivered multimedia coverage from New Zealand, France, Sweden, and the UK.

I have written for Backpacker, POWDER, the REI Co-op Journal, and the Outside magazine Winter Buyer's Guide. I have also contributed to SNEWS, SQUAW, The Mountain Collective, Stonefly, and regional publications such as Adirondack Life and Adirondack Explorer. You may find my recent work here.
